Obviously. However people cannot see and will not see for they do not want to see themselves as cattle. They think theyre too smart or so evolved or too enlightened to be so easily influenced or manipulated.
However, i dont know about anyone actually controlling the situation for any particular end game… It seems to me its just a herd of sheep running, and one (near the front) veers to the side or something and everyone just follows suit. Its not always the same sheep that changes the direction. The whole group just reacts to whatever whims of the ones who head the herd at that present moment.
Like a bird who is caught in a building and cant figure out how to fly outside, they keep getting stuck at windows and dont realise wtf how it initially got in there is also the way out.
